THE MANDIR Historically ayyodhya was known as saketa which was an important city during 6th century in civilized India, king sumitra was the last king of ayyodhya, lord rama left the ayyodhya at the age 25. It was used to be the capital of an ancient kosala kingdom, it was an average elevation of 93meters (305) feet Ayodhya, where the temple is, is considered a sacred place as it's the birthplace of lord Shri Ram. Ram Mandir is being built to commemorate the birth of Rama at his Janmasthan . Therefore, the presiding deity of the temple is supposed to be the infant form of Rama, an avatar of Vishnu. Rama in that infant form was referred as Ram Lalla ( lit. 'Child Rama') by Tulsidas.
